In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who finish the mission will acquire an special katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Unique arms
• Survey Corps mount

Third Free Story Addition

This update also introduces the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
