Cars in German City Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Officers stated they were notified by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored substance

Around 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they reported in a release.

Police state they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a resident discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The liquid had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then discovered many other marked automobiles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials state preliminary tests indicate the fluid was most likely human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; officials are presently not cognizant of any injuries in relation with the incident," they commented.

City officials stated they were trying "to resolve the incident" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A senior political figure commented the vandalism rendered him stunned and needed to be resolved quickly.

"This act strikes at the very heart of Hanau and revives the trauma of the extremist attack half a decade ago," he stated on online, recalling the killing of nine people by a assailant aiming at people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
